Meet the author

Johnny Gnall has been writing, in some form or another, since the 2nd grade. The Far End is his first novel, and is intended to be the beginning of a trilogy.

Johnny grew up on the east coast and earned his bachelor's degree in English Literature from Colgate University, before his passion for cooking and hospitality lead him to culinary school in San Francisco.

While attending, he moonlighted as a food writer, and then set off in a career as a professional chef in 2008.

He and his wife, Julia, moved to Sonoma County's wine country in 2013 and currently reside there with their 2 children.
